“Because all creatures are connected, each must be cherished with love and respect, for all of us as living creatures are dependent on one another” - Pope Francis

We are a Family ministry promoting the well-being of animals in our broader community through service, compassion/responsibility awareness, and being the living demonstration of God’s love toward his domesticated and wild creation. Our ministry makes an impact by taking action addressing key issues like adoption, spay/neuter and education.

Join our team and help us make a difference!

We meet the third Wednesday of every month, hold community events, and have kids' activities.

"I have been a parishioner at American Martyrs officially since 2016, but my husband and I were married here in 2009 and have frequently attended mass in the years in between. We have two daughters, the oldest attends American Martyrs School, and the youngest has attended SRE through the parish. Over the years I have known of many ministries and volunteer opportunities at American Martyrs and have supported them in my own way, but I’ve never felt truly connected until I was asked to join the St. Francis Animal Ministry during the recent Critter Comfort drive. I was immediately intrigued and asked how I could help. I am a life long animal lover and am always searching for ways to help them. This new ministry spoke right to my heart from the beginning and I am excited to finally have a way to support the parish and do something I’m passionate about at the same time! This is a ministry the whole family can support together and truly show that our pets are our family and we must take care of these precious gifts that God has given us."  -Natalie

"I am new to the South Bay area, and I was looking for a new church to call 'home'. I have always been interested in the welfare of animals, so when I heard about the St. Francis Animal Ministry, American Martyrs was clearly a great fit for me! I am so happy to be a part of this parish and ministry!"  -Janna
